In this video, I’m taking a quick look at the new lightweight video editor inside Adobe Firefly and showing what it can actually do in a real creator workflow.

I walk through key features like importing clips, accessing your Firefly generations, adding text and titles, using transitions, changing aspect ratios in one click, and generating video scenes directly inside Firefly.

The standout feature for me is text-based editing. You can highlight words in the transcript and instantly edit or add that section to the timeline, which makes editing talking-head and vlog-style videos much faster.

This editor works really well for short-form content like Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok, but it’s also handy for longer videos when you just want to cut things down and hit upload.
