We take a look at the Korean Bulgogi House in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
But don't take my word for it watch my video before reading this review.


The Korean Bulgogi House is located on the western side of Chambersburg. It is a small little building that looks out of place in this unique ornate Korean oriental style. It looked like it was a fast food joint at one point.

When you enter into the building, that small quaint atmosphere continues from the outside into the establishment with plenty of room for you and your small sized family to sit at.

This reminds me of going to a restaurant back in Taiwan a small village that has been family owned for years. Kind of gives up the same feeling in atmosphere that you know everything is going to be OK and that he will be well taken care of.

As soon as you sit down you notice decor around you which is simple but has Korean flair. There is a television in the background that is playing Korean TV which also fits for the atmosphere. If you see my reviews for Korean barbecue, then you would know I actually enjoyed this compare to that loud K-pop music that they were play inside Korean barbecue on the TVs.

The menu is simple and straightforward. There's only two sides. There is a side for lunch and a side for dinner.

They do not have a lot on the menu so it is not overwhelming but yet simplistic and pleasing to the eye's. The one thing that I would recommend it's maybe have some seasonal items that they switch out every so often so it gives more flare and difference to the menu.

When it comes to the prices of the food that you are offered, you can expect to pay between one dollar for a can of soda all the way up to $15 for the most expensive item on the menu. So the prices are very reasonable

We ended up getting the beef Bulgogi, bibimbap, potstickers, kimchi, and some pickled radishes. A lot of what we ordered is typically what you can find at a Korean barbecue and they give you that with your meal.

Now when I say truly authentic, I mean truly authentic because the food was absolutely delicious. The flavors and the taste are quite different especially for south-central Pennsylvania. I used to have to drive all the way down to Ellicott city Maryland, Germantown or Gaithersburg Maryland, and Frederick Maryland just to find authentic Korean food however to find one that's right in your own backyard and being truly authentic makes me happy.


Now let's talk about the perks because that's what you're gonna be asking me about.

Do they have vegan and gluten-free options on the menu? yes

Is it handicap accessible? Yes

How is the parking? They have parking on premise behind their building.

How is the atmosphere in waitstaff? I think they are both excellent and the wait for your food is not long at all.


With all of this in mind, I give Korean Bulgogi house a rating of

Now since I first did the review, I had a chance to go back and check them out. I would say the one thing that I would take away from eating at the house and Kobe would be I am now a fan of sushi more than I used to be especially with Unagi. What is Unagi? That is fresh water Il. I never thought in my entire life that I would end up liking eel and the funny thing is my dad, who is more asian and I am, does not like Eel.

No matter what day of the week you go, it is always a full house and they have a lot of takeout orders. Let me emphasize a lot of takeout orders so there's not a single day of the week with her not busy.
