Designer Roy Cannaday has clearly played a lot of Twilight Imperium and Eclipse 2nd edition in all the mechanics crammed into this simultaneous sci-fi game. But does the rush of everything come at a cost, or is the rushing even a good idea? Is it even a true 4x like Sid Meier's Civilization 2010, or is it more like Scythe in not having parts of the 4xness? Is there enough time to do the Ameritrash elements, or will it feel more like a Euro, like Civ a New Dawn?
