ABOUT MANIPAL

Well known for the Manipal university, this town is home to multiple educational institutions founded by Dr T M A Pai. It is located in the Malabar coast region with the Arabian Sea at a touching distance of 8km. Apart from the Manipal University campus, this place also houses the international headquarters of Syndicate bank and a regional IT hub.

ABOUT MAHE

Manipal Academy of Higher Education is synonymous with excellence in higher education. Over 28,000 students from 57 different nations live, learn and play in the sprawling University town, nestled on a plateau in Karnataka’s Udupi district. It also has nearly 2500 faculty and almost 10000 other support and service staff, who cater to the various professional institutions in health sciences, engineering, management, communication and humanities which dot the Wi-Fi-enabled campus.

The University has off-campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore, and off-shore campuses in Dubai (UAE) and Melaka (Malaysia). The Mangalore campus offers medical, dental, and nursing programs. The Dubai campus offers programs in engineering, management and architecture, and the Melaka campus offers programs in medicine and dentistry.

ABOUT DOC

Department of Commerce (DOC) was established in the year 2007 with the launch of its flagship undergraduate business programme specializing in Banking & Finance. During 2011-13, department subsequently introduced three more innovative undergraduate business programmes specializing in Financial Markets, Management Accounting (Professional), Logistics & Supply Chain and one Masters programme in Commerce specializing in Logistics & Supply Chain.

From the academic year 2015, Department will be launching two new specializations in the undergraduate business programmes namely Marketing & HR & one Post Graduate Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain. The academic curriculum of these programmes is administered through a pedagogy combining classroom lectures coupled with frequent industry interaction which helps the students get a practical perspective along with theoretical inputs.
