Business came to a standstill in downtown Kampala as police arrested former Presidential Candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye, who was towed away in his car to the Central Police Station. Besigye, a four time presidential candidate, had gone to downtown Kampala to rally his supporters against the removal of Article 102 (b) that caps presidential age limit at 75 years of age, from the Constitution. Several other people were also arrested for different alleged offenses related to opposition to lifting of the presidential age limit.
