360 - What is a fairy ring?

A fairy ring is an interesting name for a circle of mushrooms. Mushrooms sometimes grow in rings. They start off as a clump and then deplete the nitrogen in the area beneath them. Then they move outward from there seeking out more nutrients. The result is a strange ring of mushroom that can get up to 15 feet!!!
