Science educator Darryl Baynes lead experiments with more than 100 midddle-school students visiting Gannon University for STEM "Science Day" on March 11, 2010. Baynes, president of Interactive Science Programs in Wheeling, W. Va., uses liquid nitrogen, sound waves, chemical reactions and other scientific concepts to engage students in science, technology, engineering and math. Seventh and eighth-graders from Luther Memorial Learning Center, St. John Holy Rosary Eastside Catholic School and Perseus House Charter School of Excellence-Maritime Center attended Science Day, a collaborative effort between Gannon University, the Erie School District and the PA CareerLink - Erie County.
