Welcome to our journey through the serene and spiritual Buddhist temples of Kolkata! In this video, we’ll explore some of the most beautiful and tranquil Buddhist temples in the city, showcasing their unique architecture, rich history, and peaceful ambiance.

1. Huang Tsang Buddhist Monastery (Chinese Temple)– Located in Paschim Chowbaga of the Tiljala region the Monastery is best approached from the Ruby Hospital on the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass.

2. Fo Guang Shan Kolkata Buddhist Centre- 12 Aug 2015 — It is located on 8, New Tangra Road and reach it is best to head past the Big Boss Restaurant (on the right) past the Sing Cheung Sauce Factory .

3. Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple – The temple is located on the eastern end of the Rabindra Sarobar, next to the Dhakuria flyover. The temple was established by Nichidatsu Fujii.

4. Mahabodhi Society of India- The Maha Bodhi Society is a South Asian Buddhist society presently based in Kolkata, India. Founded by the Sri Lankan Buddhist leader Anagarika Dharmapala .

5. Myanmar Buddhist Temple- Tucked away in a central Kolkata alley, this little-known temple houses a unique, gilded Buddha statue.

6. Bauddha Dharmankur Sabha- The Bouddha Dharmankur Sabha (Bengal Buddhist Association) is a socio-religious-culture and philanthropic organization established in 1892. Activities carried out by the organization are possible due to the generosity of the people who are associated with it

7. BUDDIST PAGODA EDEN GARDENS- The prominent attraction of the garden is a picturesque Burmese Pagoda, standing in the northern part of the garden, in an island, almost surrounded by a waterbody. The Pagoda, originally belonged to Myanmar or erstwhile Burma, has a intriguing story to tell.

8. Calcutta Karma Gon Buddhist Monastary-
Karma Gon’ means temple of karma. The disciples are followers of the Karma sect of Tibetan Buddhism. In its basic form, the monastery has existed at this location since sometime between 1935 and 1937, but it was given a facelift much later, and the beautiful monastery and stupa that exist today came up only around 1976-77.

9. Japanese Forest - Enthralled by the principles of Japanese Garden design, HIDCO has developed an enticing Japanese Forest in 3.5 acres of the park next to the central lake in Eco Park.
