Hemolytic diseases of the Fetus and Newborn in Rh incompatibility (HDFN) | Nursing Lecture

Описание к видео Hemolytic diseases of the Fetus and Newborn in Rh incompatibility (HDFN) | Nursing Lecture

Rh incompatibility arises when the mother is negative & fetus which she carries is positive, and thereby the antibodies are being formed that are transported across the placenta and the fetus gets affected.

But if the fetus is negative and the mother is positive, or if both were negative then it will not cause any impact on the fetus.

And various hemolytic diseases can happen in fetuses depending on the number of antibodies being formed. These are -

1 Hydrops Fetalis
2 Icterus gravis neonatorum
3 Congenital anemia of the newborn
