In this video, we go over real vs fake spirituality. The biggest emphasis on this video is that spirituality is all about direct experience. Any practice that helps you create a sense of better understanding of this divine universe is a spiritual practice. No one can tell you that it's not. It's when spirituality becomes a self-sabotaging, ego-filling trap (I see this in some New Agers) does it become "fake." Spirituality also loses its usefulness when one engages in spiritual bypassing, which often involves overemphasizing the positive rather than the negative, to the point the negative becomes repressed and begins to have consequences in one's life. Spirituality recognizes darkness, and comes to terms with it. It may be painful, but it's a key part in this seeking of greater understanding of the self in relation to the universe.
