What happens next is a masterclass in Tarantino-style subversion. Instead of a tense standoff, Dr. Schultz responds with calm, terrifying efficiency. In one smooth motion, he draws his concealed pistol and shoots Big Daddy directly in the chest, killing him instantly. The loudmouth bully is cut off mid-sentence, his power play obliterated in a single gunshot. Schultz then casually covers the stunned crowd with his rifle, demonstrating who truly holds the power.

This short scene perfectly sets the tone for the film: a world where Southern gentility is a thin veneer over brutality, and where the new arrivals operate by a faster, deadlier code.
