Steve Perry: Foolish Heart (Live)

This performance is from a bootleg DVD/CD set recorded at Beacon Theatre in New York City from November 1994. This captured footage was at a time before the internet and smartphones. Recording devices were illegal but once in awhile someone clever would sneak in a videorecorder.

A reminder that Steve Perry had stopped singing when he left Journey in 1987 and was not heard from again until this World Tour, which was to promote his 2nd solo album, "For The Love Of Strange Medicine". In my opinion, one of the best male vocalist of all time and this song makes my personal Top 20 love songs from the 80s.

Foolish Heart was the fourth single from Steve's debut solo album, "Street Talk". This song peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart in February 1985.
