What It's Like To Have Papillon Dogs

What is it really like to have Papillon Dogs? Papillon Trick Dogs will demonstrate the good and not so good things about Papillon Dogs ... mostly good!! Papillon Dogs are small, ranging from 4 to 10 pounds ... about the same weight as a small cat! Callie is 6.7 pounds, and Luc is 7.3 pounds and Beau weighs in at 9.6 pounds.

The best feature of Papillon Dogs is their beautiful silky hair. They have "butterfly" ears and long fluffy tails. They have no undercoat, so they are easy to groom, and do not smell!

[Please keep in mind that I am not an expert in Papillon dogs. I am sharing what I know through research and having three Papillons.]

Papillon Dogs are fine boned. Caution must be taken around children and in fact, some breeders do not recommend Papillon Dogs for families with young children. Caution must also be taken with larger dogs, who might "run over" a Papillon Dog!

Unfortunately, Papillon Dogs can be considered "prey" by SOME dogs, and wildlife. Caution must be taken!!!

Sadly, the Golden Retriever in this video, Jackson, passed away last year at 13 years old and Sophie the beautiful Birman Cat passed away at 12.
