Sri Lanka 2018: Episode 6 of 8

This April, we spent two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka with Trails Asia, a new tour company that specialise in ethical travel. In this episode, we're in Nallathanniya, a small town at the base of Adam's Peak. We set off on the 7km hike up Adam's Peak at 2am, to ensure we reach the summit by sunrise. The hike takes 3 hours, so we manage to reach the top by 5am. From the summit, we see one of the most beautiful sunrises we've ever seen. We then go on a tour of a local tea factory, to learn how Sri Lankan tea is grown, harvested and processed, before heading back to the hotel for a delicious dinner.
