I dedicate this video to our beloved friend Simone, in memory of her sister Joyce.I hope this video will bring good memories to your sister and the moment we said goodbye to her.

The song has two basslines, en accompanying bassline which you can see in the right corner of the video and the lead bassline which is shown on the left of the screen.
Because the lead line is the most interesting for bassplayers I’ve made this screen larger than the video of the accompanying bassline. Also the score/tab is larger.
The bassline starts at 0.38 seconds.
It’s a wonderful melodic line and is wonderfully played by Nathan East on a fretless bass.

Tears in heaven is written about the death of Clapton's four-year-old son Conor.

I play this song on a fretless Fender Precision Lyte with roundwound strings. Made in Japan. Ebony fingerboard and inlaid lines (done by luthier). Standard E A D G tuning.
