Galatasaray Technical Director Okan Buruk said that they are sad to be eliminated from the UEFA Champions League.
Buruk made statements at the press conference organized after the match in which they lost 1-0 to Young Boys of Switzerland in the play-off round.
Stating that they failed to achieve their goal of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, Buruk said, “I would like to appear before you as the coach of a team that will play in the Champions League. We were dreaming that at least one team would represent our country there. This was our goal and purpose, but we failed. That's why we are sad as a community.”

Patrick Rahmen, the technical director of Young Boys, who eliminated Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League play-off round, said that he was proud of his players.
Rahmen made statements at the press conference organized after the rematch at RAMS Park, which they won 1-0.
Reminding that they beat Galatasaray 3-2 in the first match and 1-0 in the rematch, the Swiss coach said, “I am proud of my team. We had defeats after tough weeks in Switzerland. We have been on the rise in recent weeks. We showed a very impressive performance at home and away against Galatasaray. They were all present in the game, they took their chances and space well. We missed positions in the first half, we stayed calm at half time. In the second half, Galatasaray pressed but couldn't find clear scoring positions. We turned the game in our favor by going on the counterattack at the right time. I am proud of the attitude we have shown in recent weeks. I am also very happy with our performance in the last two games.”
