Buckethead solo 2004 06 05 Streetlight Records San Jose CA

This show is about 2 months after it was officially announced he was no longer a member of GnR. Lots of GnR fans in the crowd as you can hear someone yell a request for the GnR song "Paradise City".


I remember arriving late in the morning around 10 or 11am with my coffee and bagel w/ cream cheese. There was only maybe half a dozen of us at this time. I think were allowed inside around 1 or 2 pm, still not many people were there by this time, maybe 20-30 at the most.


Once the show started I think around 3pm, I never looked back into the crowd, because I was directly in front of the stage watching Buckethead. Once the show ended I turned around to look out into the crowd and I was like "OMG" this crowd is massive. You can see it at the end of the video.


Being that this one of the few solo performances after leaving GnR, the boy seems a little nervous and having a few technical issues at the beginning, but by the third song, he seems a lot more comfortable and though despite a few stumbles here and there, he just goes for it! The solos contained in this performance are very special, unique and just simply blistering!

The audio is slightly blown out during the first song, but hey we can't help that. The little consumer video cameras were not designed for high volume concerts. It clears up by the second song.
