Master Bluegrass Guitar "Crosspicking" With The Classic Tune "Wayfaring Stranger"

In this lesson we'll be digging into one of the most important bluegrass lead guitar techniques: cross picking. It's simply alternate picking across adjacent strings that gives an effect similar to a banjo or fingerpicked guitar but all done with a flatpick. And to make it fun, we'll be using the classic tune "Wayfaring Stranger" to really get this technique down.

ALL of the bluegrass greats from Doc Watson, Clarence White, Norman Blake, and Dan Crary to Tony Rice, David Grier, Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle have used this technique in their playing.
