VIA Rail Canada - Two Super Fast Trains at the Same Time - 100MPH!!!

Its all about timing and exploring a bit. This location is mile 247 on the CN Kingston Subdivision. The road is Blyth Park off of Highway 2 west of Brighton, Ontario. CN freight crews often refer to this section of track as 'The Dangers' due to its roller coaster like characteristics of ups and downs. Its quite challenging for the train crews running 2+ mile long freight trains, keeping the cars stretched - controlling the slack and preventing it from running in and out. When the slack runs in and out it can cause damage to the cars and the products they are carrying. It can also break couplers and drawbars or even lead to a derailment.

This morning we see two VIA Rail passenger trains meet at the top of the hill with both locomotive engineers pounding their way through at 100mph. Watch both VIA trains in ACTION on this high speed double track roller coaster main line...
