Europe’s Unemployment Crisis: The 10 Hardest-hit Countries

It is not easy to talk about unemployment, not only because it is a sensitive topic, but also because the real figures are always worse than the statistics. In fact, one thing is those who are officially registered as unemployed, another is the people who are actually not working. Among them, however, there are also students and people who cannot work. And then there is the large phenomenon of undeclared work, which is very difficult to quantify. In today’s video, we will look at the 10 European countries with the highest official unemployment rate. We will base our findings on EUROSTAT data from 33 European nations. We will also take a look at those countries where many people have lost hope of finding a job, to the point where they don’t even want to register at an employment center.
