The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to launch a new mobile application for its members very soon. According to recent reports, the app is currently in testing mode and is expected to be launched by March or April.

This new EPFO mobile app will function similar to a UPI-based platform, allowing members to withdraw PF money more easily and quickly. The app will be different from the UMANG app and can be linked with other UPI apps, including BHIM.

Currently, PF withdrawals require online claims through the UAN portal. However, the new app aims to simplify and speed up the entire process.

As per rules, employees can withdraw up to 75% of their EPF balance, while at least 25% must remain in the EPF account.
