So, the question is, why does cold weather lead to more ENT, or sinus and ear issues?

Partly, when it's cold weather, people are inside more. That could lead to it. Also, viruses may live longer. In the summertime, we don't have a lot of infections. But when it's colder, viruses may be there around longer, and it's hard to clear them, leading to more sinus infections.

So, you don't tend to see a lot of sinus issues in the summer when it's super hot, but when it's cold, that could be there, viral infections. The cold weather may have you put the thermostat up and make more dry air, and that can make it worse for your sinuses.

So, people often get more sick, especially in November or December, when it's pretty cold. And those are some reasons why the cold weather may lead you to have more sinus issues.
