FULL G:Link Gold Coast Light Rail Broadbeach South to Helensvale

A FULL (almost uncut) ride of the G:Link light rail in the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast Light Rail is operated by G:Link (which is operated by Keolis Downer) which is owned by Translink which is a Company owned by the Queensland Government. G:Link is a light rail system consisting of 1 line between Helensvale and Broadbeach South via Grifith University and Surfers Paradise. The current system consists of 18 stations. The first announcement for stage 1 between Grifith University and Broadbeach South was made in 2009 and completed in 2014. Stage 2 between Helensvale and Grifith University was announced in February 2016. This was to connect the Gold Coast Line to G:Link to allow passengers and tourists alike to travel from the heavy rail line to the Gold Coast CBD and Surfers Paradise. Stage 3 was announced in 2018 to extend the line from Broadbeach South to Burleigh Heads. This project was originally planned to be completed during 2024 but due to funding disputes and the pandemic it was delayed to 2026. In future the G:link is expected to connect up to the Gold Coast Airport and Varsity lakes though these plans have not been properly announced yet.
