Bhimbetka rock shelters (Bhim Bethaka) are a UNESCO world heritage site located near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. This tourist attraction features a large number of rock shelters which were once inhabited by the first Homo sapiens of India up to 100,000 years ago. India’s history starts here at Bhimbetka! Inside these caves are many well preserved rock paintings from the paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic periods. Tools and skeletons have also been excavated from the jungle area dating back to the Stone Age. In this video I take a guided tour around the historical site before sharing all of the important information with you guys.
