Hanieh Setayeshgar developed a passion for percussion instruments, particularly the daf, as a child after watching the movie "Siavash." However, her mother, who was also a music enthusiast and her main supporter in this instrument, is considered the root of this passion.

Hanieh Setayeshgar professionally pursued this instrument under the guidance of Shima Etminan since 2012, when she was invited to join Shima Etminan's ensemble. This instrument completely changed Hanieh Setayeshgar's world and spirit, providing her with significant emotional support. She believes that playing music transports us away from time and the world.

Hanieh Setayeshgar considers performing on stage and playing in harmony with other individuals and larger groups as the greatest challenges in playing the daf. She also began teaching upon Shima Etminan's suggestion, and she finds this experience to be very influential in her own musical journey.

Hanieh Setayeshgar's advice to those who want to start playing an instrument is to set clear goals for themselves so they don't become discouraged during difficult and challenging times.

خانم هانیه ستایشگر از کودکی با دیدن فیلم سیاوش به سازهای کوبه‌ای و بطور خاص ساز دف علاقه‌مند شد، اما ریشه اصلی آن را مادرشان می‌دانند که علاقه‌مند به موسیقی و مشوق اصلی ایشان در این ساز هستند.

خانم ستایشگر با فراخوان گروه نوازی خانم اطمینان به طور حرفه‌ایی از سال 92، این ساز را تحت آموزش ایشان دنبال کردند. این ساز دنیا و روحیه ایشان را به طور کلی تغییر داد و به ایشان از لحاظ روحی کمک کرد چرا که به عقیده خانم ستایشگر نواختن موسیقی، ما را از زمان و همه دنیا جدا می‌کند.

خانم ستایشگر بزرگترین چالش را در نوازندگی، رفتن روی صحنه و همنوازی با افراد دیگر و گروه‌های بزرگتر می‌دانند. ایشان همچنین به پیشنهاد خانم اطمینان تدریس را شروع کردند و این کار را بسیار تاثیرگذار در مسیر نوازندگی خود می‌دانند

پیشنهاد خانم ستایشگر به افرادی که می‌خواهند نوازندگی را شروع کنند این است که حتما برای خود هدف بگذارند که در دوران سخت و پر چالش دچار ناامیدی نشوند.
