Winter preparation tips for your home has to start with your Winter outdoor power equipment. Outdoor power equipment repair replacing snowblower shave plate and skid shoes is an easy DIY task. This task is much easier using my Kobalt 24v Max 1/4-in Impact Driver on my Troy-Bilt 24-in 2-stage snowblower. The Kobalt cordless impact driver made changing the snow thrower shave plate and skid shoes very quick and easy. Snow blower maintenance is easier when the snow blower is no longer needed like Spring, Summer or Fall. However, it's almost critically necessary in Winter when the snow thrower is needed which adds pressure to the situation. Therefore, try to get the maintenance done at the end of the previous season so the snow blower is ready when you need it!
