My Gordon Carbine Retro Build — PART 2

Описание к видео My Gordon Carbine Retro Build — PART 2

This session I focus on how I basically improved the suppression. I show how the muzzle device affects muzzle readings and numbers on 2 different hosts. The only change to the F1 suppressor was the clips. I have no good explanation as to why I clipped them this way. Just wanted a different approach. Lots of good info but lots of talking. Sometimes you just gotta explain stuff and ramble.

Baseline tests show

Gordy 12.5” 167.30
10.3” 169.70 and 170+

Gordy with brake and clipped baffles average 150.78 (-16.52 drop) yuck…
Gordy WITHOUT BRAKE 141.10 (-26.20 drop) much better! About 10db quieter!!!

10.3” with SDN6 average 139.76 (-29.94 drop)
10.3” with Form 1 average 136.66 (-33.04 drop)

Usually the 10.3” pegs the meter every time but today seemed like everything was 2-3 db lower on average. Even with everything calibrated properly sometimes ammo temp, air temp, humidity and other things play into factor.

Concluded that I should leave the mini brake off and just make a short thread protector and rockset it on. I’d really like to keep this build a reflex design even though in its configuration is worse. It’s got the retro vibes and I enjoy it. I’m 100% glad I found the kink in the line and straightened it out cause it sounded bad. The brakes design and being to close to the first baffle ultimately ruined the suppression.
