The Walking Dead Escape was one of San Diego Comic-Con’s most iconic offsite events, running from 2012–2014. Held inside Petco Park and produced by Skybound (publisher of The Walking Dead comics), this immersive attraction dropped fans into a live-action zombie outbreak inspired by the early seasons of the show and comic. Unlike the downtown “Zombie Walk,” which was a fan-organized event, The Walking Dead Escape was the only officially branded Walking Dead event during SDCC weekend in 2014.

This video documents the 2014 run: survivor routes, infection gauntlets, crawler zones, barricades, and the volunteer walkers stationed throughout Petco Park.
