Messed up the paint a few times on this and ended up finishing with the paint I had on hand. First paint was Testors candy red in a can over Tamiya metallic gold over Tamiya primer in a can. Awesome results but I sprayed the clear on too heavy out of a can causing heavy wrinkling. You can see the video of the candy red finish on my channel. Striped the paint the first time. After that I used an airbrush for painting and thinned paint using Mr Color Leveling Thinner. 2nd paint I used Tamiya Surfacer followed by Testors Flat Black for the bottom of the truck with Testors Red Metal Flake on the roof. Cleared with Tamiya LP-9 Clear lacquer. Followed up with wet sand and polish. Fun build, but as everyone has mentioned, the glass fitment is a bit off. Learning for me, most definitely throw down a clear before decals to avoid silvering. I had used Tamiya Matte Clear but it was too shiny for the look I was going for and ended up stripping a 2nd time. Gold foil on the gas tank and red flocking for carpet which you probably can't see. Chain steering wheel and wire rims from e-bay. Thanks for watching!
