For something of this importance, SMEs faced many challenges in regards to raising capital and the emergence of SME Exchanges in India have invigorated this sector. In this video, I shall take you through the history, present and future of SME exchanges and SME IPOs as we discover how small and medium-sized enterprises are outperforming the other indices by a huge margin. In numbers, the S&P BSE SME IPO index has seen impressive an CAGR of 193% over the past 3 years, 82% over 5 years and 60% over 10 years. In other words, a 1 lakh rupee investment in this index in 2013 would have grown to over 1 crore, a whopping 100x return

The recent performance of SME stocks has sparked massive interest in this asset class. What used to be just 27 IPOs in 2020 is expected to reach almost 200 new listings this financial year. The underlying premise is clear: small stocks have the potential to offer significant rewards to investors. In this video, I shall also delve on the liquidity and safety concerns that many investors are likely to have and how one can go about the task of identifying the ideal SME stocks
