Gil is held prisoner along with others in an internment camp controlled by an invading force. One night, a mysterious figure appears to him, encouraging him to lead an escape plan to free everyone from the camp. He seeks confirmation in prayer. With his answer in hand, Gil persuades the remaining leadership of his people to his course of action, setting the wheels in motion to liberate them all.

Based on the story of Gideon from the Book of Judges.
