Neelam speaks of the importance of Tenderness as one of the Missing Links to Awakening.

-Tenderness is the expression of our natural state — our True Nature. When we are here at rest in our True Nature, Tenderness is naturally here.

-We all have experienced Tenderness in different aspects of our life however it is really difficult to experience true tenderness with everything that arises within; with what arises in the world; with what arises in relationships with other people.

-This experience of Tenderness shows us the difference between our Natural State and the tendencies of the past or the mind when mind is present, ego is present (same thing) there is often harshness towards what is.

Harshness sometimes gets confused or equated with “spiritual conditioning”.

Ultimately anything that we accept as a belief — even the spiritual Truths — are in the past

I often speak of “spiritual terrorism” — when we use the concepts and understanding of spirituality to judge , “torture“ yourself or others because of your understanding of spiritual experience.

We can either be here with kindness, with tenderness (natural) or there may be or can be harshness present towards what arises here. Not to judge this but to discriminate. We want to differentiate and understand that as long as harshness is Present we are not going to be able to Be Here.
