The report confirms allegations that the calculator within the Veterans Benefits Management System for Rating (VBMS-R) produced inaccurate results for certain disability combinations, potentially leading to veterans being underpaid. Due to these issues, the VBMS-R calculator was disabled. The OIG recommends that VBA correct these errors and implement further testing to ensure the calculator's accuracy in the future.
