Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, children living in slums and refugee camps across South Asia have been amongst the hardest hit. In India, Children on the Edge have been replicating a tried and tested digital innovation they piloted in Kutupalong, the largest refugee camp in the world.

Staff in Patna, Bihar State have been using online connections throughout the pandemic to keep 1,300 Dalit children connected to education, to inspire young activists, mentor struggling families, support women’s groups and circulate vital training to prevent trafficking and abuse.

This award winning innovation is ready to be shared, replicated and scaled in a multitude of situations. Future proofing education and broadening the horizons of some of the hardest to reach children, in the most challenging and volatile environments.
