This is the opening sequence to the indie film Threat, introducing the characters & their world of the LES during the 90s before the gentrification boom that followed later in the decade.

*This is the final opening that was part of the film when it was released theatrically in 2006 (note the voiceover comments on 9/11, which occurred well after filming). The original opening the film had during its 90s touring and festival run are on the DVD deleted scenes.

The film was shot super low budget on film stock left over from local TV shoots and 16mm cameras borrowed from a film co-op after hours.
