On July 26, the US Army Voices (part of the US Army Band) had a performance on the west side of the US Capitol. The performance consisted of pop and show tunes, including songs from the musicals "Into the Woods" and "Guys and Dolls." The group also did some a cappella oldies, including "Sh-Boom," a do-wop song from the dawn of rock and roll.

First written and recorded in 1954 by the R&B vocal group The Chords, "Sh-Boom" went on to be a big hit for The Crew-Cuts.
