Lindesnes lighthouse, Norway

Lindesnes lighthouse is the first lighthouse in Norway built in 1656. This lighthouse is the southernmost lighthouse of Norway. This lighthouse is still operational. 2 lighthouse keepers still works here over the year on a rotation basis, and they are the only ones in the country. Lindesnes is now the head office of Kystverkmusea - a network of five museums responsible for the preservation and presentation of the national heritage related to maritime infrastructure. Lindesnes was also honoured as "The Millennium Site" of Vest-Agder county, and a major tourist attraction. The whole of the original lighthouse station is still owned by the Lighthouse Administration and protected as a national monument under the Cultural Heritage Act.
