The Udaigiri Caves boast an impressive array of rock-cut sculptures, skillfully crafted during the 4th and 5th centuries AD under the patronage of Chandragupta Vikramaditya. They are enriched with 20 caves dedicated to Jainism and Hinduism.
Sanchi Stupa, one of the oldest and largest Buddhist monuments in India, dates back to the 3rd century BC and was constructed by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. It is also believed to be the place housing the ashes of Buddha.
