The arraignment for Jason Halasz, who is accused of stabbing a clinician at Signature Health in Maple Heights last month, was held on Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

The 24-year-old Halasz entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of attempted murder and felonious assault. Bond was set at $250,000 with Halasz ordered to have no contact with the victim, wear GPS monitoring, and submit to a DNA test.

A pretrial hearing has been set for May 16.

Halasz is accused of stabbing a 49-year-old clinician at Signature Health on April 24.

According to Maple Heights Police Chief Todd Hansen, Halasz was at the clinic receiving treatment when he stabbed the clinician. Investigators say the victim ran out of the room with Halasz chasing him and stabbing him again before security guards were finally able to detain the suspect.

On May 2, a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicted Halasz on one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault. Each of the charges carry weapons specifications.
