What Did T A Barron Want to Be Growing Up

I was recently asked the question, “What did you want to be when you grew up and why?”

Well, that assumes that I have grown up!

As a child, I dreamed of being a wizard, making wondrous things happen. Then I though of becoming a wilderness guide, a forest ranger living in a wooden tower in Alaska, or a storyteller.

I also considered teaching, being an environmental advocate, and even starting small businesses. Yet, writing has always been my true passion.

Today, as my kids say, I get to be a wizard after all… just a different kind of wizard.
