Man of words and music, Dasopant was a prolific writer and musician. he was proficient in eight languages and many musical forms. He lived in 16th century and was well versed with the prabandh style of singing, once in vogue during 13th century. Above is one of his prabandh known as chaturang prabandh, having four segments namely sargam, poetry, mridang bols and tenak or meaningless words in the composition. Indeed a rare form of singing.
