Body Cam Video Of A Man Caught Using A Fake ID
On October 26, 2024, a Master Officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was proactively patrolling the John M. Bethea State Forest in Baker County on the opening day of deer dog training season.
The officer exited a marked patrol truck on Forest Road 3 and conducted a consensual encounter with a silver-colored GMC truck that had a dog box in the bed. The driver was asked to provide a hunting license and permits but stated that none were possessed and that no hunting activity was taking place. Upon inspecting the dog box, the officer observed a hunting dog wearing an active tracking collar. The driver then stated awareness of law enforcement presence in the forest and claimed an intent to leave and obtain the necessary licenses and permits.
A cooler was observed on top of the dog box, and when asked about its contents, the driver confirmed the presence of adult beverages. The officer requested the driver to exit the vehicle and remove all alcoholic beverages to determine the quantity in possession. A total of 20 unopened Busch Light alcoholic beverages were found.
A check of the vehicle's tag through dispatch revealed it was expired and had been replaced with *****. When asked for a driver’s license, the individual provided a fake Florida driver’s license. Upon realizing this, the individual admitted to the deception.
