Welcome to Maspalomas, located on the southern coast of Gran Canaria. Today, I'm thrilled to bring you along on a unique 360-degree interactive virtual tour, starting from the historic Faro de Maspalomas, through the stunning Playa de Maspalomas, across the famous sand dunes, and culminating at the lively Playa del Inglés. Prepare to immerse yourself fully as you control every angle of this scenic walk. Let’s dive into this immersive adventure!

Faro de Maspalomas
Our journey begins here at the Faro de Maspalomas, a lighthouse that has stood guard over the coast since 1890. More than just a navigational aid, this lighthouse marks the meeting point of the Maspalomas beach and the start of the vast dune system, creating a dramatic landscape that’s as beautiful as it is unique.

Playa de Maspalomas
As we move away from the lighthouse, we enter Playa de Maspalomas. This beach stretches for about 6 kilometers and is famous for its golden sand and clear blue waters. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Atlantic breeze. The beach also acts as a natural divider between the lighthouse and the dunes, creating a unique ecosystem at its shores.

The Dunes of Maspalomas
Next, we encounter the incredible Maspalomas Dunes. These sand dunes look like a miniature desert right next to the sea. Formed from coral and shell fragments, the dunes are shaped by the wind into ever-changing patterns. This area is protected because of its unique flora and fauna, and walking here feels like stepping into another world.

The challenge
I’m pushing myself to walk through these huge sand dunes. It’s really hot and the sand makes it tough to walk, but I’m up for the challenge! Despite the heat and the tricky sand, the views here are amazing. Where the sand meets the sea, it’s just beautiful. This tough walk is definitely worth it.
