KBC 14: Numan Ali of Kalaburagi won 6.40 lakhs

Numan Ali, a 24-year-old techie from Kalaburagi, has made the district proud by making it to the 'hot seat' of television quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati-14' and won a cash prize of ₹6.4 lakh.

Mohammad Numan Ali told The Hindu on Friday that when he received a call from the KBC supporting team on December 4, he thought it was a prank or a phishing call. He was told the whole process and gave a telephonic interview on 6th December, when I gave the interview, he called me to Mumbai for the KBC program, and the episode was shot on 14th December. The show aired on Fridays.

Sharing his experience of sitting on the hot seat as a contestant and interacting with host Amitabh Bachchan, Mohd Numan Ali said he had one lifeline left and used it for the ₹12.5 lakh question , But he didn't know about the answer. So Numan Ali left the show and went home with the prize money of ₹6,40,000.

Numan Ali completed his education in Kalaburagi from a small town Mahagaon. He has done engineering in Electronics and Communication and currently working in a multinational company in Pune.

His father Naushad Ali is a biomedical technician and his mother is a homemaker. The KBC winner says that he will use the prize money to perform Umrah with his parents.
