How to Render (Clean) Beeswax - From Dark Honeycomb to Yellow Wax - Part I

Do you have old comb, wax cappings and lots of little pieces of dirty, sticky wax sitting around? This is how I clean, otherwise called render, my beeswax so that I have a nice, large solid chunk of wax.

This is part 1 of a 3 part series. In this video, I show you how to take the old comb and sticky wax cappings from your honey harvest and turn it into a large piece of fairly clean wax.

In subsequent videos, I will show you how to further clean your wax so that it has no little pieces of dirt in it and is ready for candles and body products.

As with all my videos, I add in as many tips and what I've tried that didn't work and why. This is a great way to clean wax at home if you're a hobby / backyard beekeeper and is safe!
