Wild Card Football | EPIC WIN OR FAIL?

This is definitely a neat game, but I found myself frustrated with the arcade-y-ness that most would come to the game for. There is a level of chaos here that I think a lot of people will find fun, but at least in the initial time spent with the game it ended up being annoying. Especially the animation frames on a sack that seemingly start an animation before the defender has reached the QB.
Also, when I compare this game to Madden, I mean more in how much customizability in relation to setting up plays, rather than the game in action, which is much more arcade like.
Which do you prefer? Arcade style or simulation?
