This is my video tutorial on how to makes some changes on the Surface Book/Pro so that you don't get stuck in the black screen or "Sleep of Death." It is my temporary fix until Microsoft fixes the issue officially. A Quick 1 minute process that will enable Hibernate mode instead, and I find that my experience now with my Surface Book and Pro are more enjoyable after making these changes. The better fix, would be for Microsoft to fix this themselves, but hey sometimes you have to do it yourself.

1. Enable Hibernate Mode
2. Open CMD Prompt as Administrator and type: powercfg -h on
3. Open Control Panel and choose Power Options
4. If you have Balanced selected, choose it, and set all options for Battery and AC plugged in to NEVER
5. Got out one on the options and click on "Choose what the Power Button Does"
6. Click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
7. De-Select Sleep & Turn on Fast Startup
8. Go back into Power Options and click on "Change Advance Power Settings"
9. Goto Power buttons & Lids and make sure to choose "Hibernate for all options"
10. All Set - Your Surface Book and/or Pro will now Hibernate instead of sleep and you will not get stuck in the Sleep of Death screen that most Surface family line are products suffer from.
