Purpose of the Problem:

The purpose of the fourth problem is for you to test if you can apply what you have learned from the book. The hints given to make the problem seem easier are actually not required if you have gone over the first three practice problems; you already have the tools and the mindset to figure out the information that is given in the hint of this problem.

If you indeed have achieved the learning outcomes of the first three problems, then you may not be satisfied with the question as you will feel there are more variables in play than the ones you have learned from the book.
