Inspiring the next generation of England Lionesses | FIFA Women's World Cup | Sunderland AFC

Thanks to a £2m investment from the Premier League, The FA and Government's Football Foundation, the Beacon of Light in Sunderland is helping develop the next generation of England stars.

Operated by the Foundation of Light, the Beacon is home to Sunderland's Emerging Talent Centre - one of the many England Football ETCs across the country which are funded by the Premier League and provide girls in the local area with quality training environments to give them the best opportunity to fulfil their potential.

This top class sports facility boasts six outdoor 5v5 floodlit 3G pitches, an indoor 7v7 football barn, multi-purpose sports hall, changing rooms, training suite, lecture theatre and medical facilities.

The Football Foundation is on a mission to unlock the power of pitches, ensuring everyone has a great place to play regardless of gender, race, disability or place.
