What an awesome morning!

Our first stop was in the Lake Vesuvius Recreation Area at one of the old Iron Furnaces. Turns out the works here not only smelted Iron but were also instrumental in helping the Underground Railroad efforts!

Then, it was into the town of Ironton Ohio. They had some of the coolest old churches and their incredible architecture. We were blown away! Then, I saw something in the distance, a ruins, and it turned out to be the old City hall. After chatting with a local, it turns out this old building just crumbled on its own and was abandoned.

It was then I also learned of the towns original homes and made a visit. Turns out the founder of the town used his wagons hauling ore, to move former slaves up to the north through his network of Ironworks. The houses here were awesome as well!

Amazing things to do in Ohio!
